New Investments Improving Quality of Life for Residents at Three Links

As 2018 winds down, it is a good time to reflect on the ups and downs of the past year. For Three Links, this means a report on the implementation of the three-year strategic plan we released in January: Vision 2020.

Keeping in-line with Three Links’ resident-centered care model and the quality of life goals in the Strategic Plan, we are pleased to report that our care team and support staff were able to facilitate a significant increase in the total number of baths we offer to Three Links residents – from 4,600 for all of 2017 to 5,400 from January to October 2018.

Increased front-line staffing was another key element of our Strategic Plan. In addition to reducing workload, these investments are expanding the scope of services we can offer residents. Over the course of 2018, the total hours of direct and allied care for each resident per day has increased from 2.9 in 2017 to 3.06 as of September. 2018. We look forward to additional increases in 2019.

With these direct investments in front-line care, Three Links has also been able to expand our emphasis on recreation programming, particularly on the weekend. As a result, we have increased the total average number of hours of recreation programming from the 90 hours per week in 2017 to 107 hours in 2018.
