Three Links is doing a donation drive for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and we need your help! Your donation will make a big difference for families in our community who are struggling to get by.

Did you know that a $1 donation to the food bank can buy up to $5 worth of food for a hungry family? That’s because the food bank has bulk buying agreements that allow them to purchase non-perishable goods at a fraction of the price you pay at the grocery store.

If you’re able to make a monetary donation, please bring it to Alona at the front desk between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, or slip it in the gold mailbox outside the reception desk. Cheques can be addressed to Three Links Care Society and tax receipts will be provided for donations of $20 or more.

If you’d like to donate food, please do! Alona will be accepting those too. Here’s a list of the most needed items at the food bank:

  • Canned fish, chicken, or turkey
  • Canned black beans, chickpeas, and kidney beans
  • Dried lentils
  • Nuts and/or seeds
  • Natural peanut butter
  • Brown rice, barley and whole wheat pasta
  • Powdered skim milk
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit
  • Hearty stews with 10g or more protein

Please note, due to health and safety issues the following items will not be accepted:

  • Expired food
  • Open packages of food

Thanks for getting involved! We’ll be accepting donations from now until Christmas.
